Weidmuller’s newly released Power Monitor 51A is an extended function device in the Power Monitor series designed for monitoring and controlling the energy consumption of plant and machinery.

The PM51A combines a high measurement accuracy of Class 0.5s, harmonic measurement to the 31st harmonic, a resolution of 1mA and a large high-contrast backlit LCD screen for display of all power parameters. Built in Modbus RS485 serial communications allow integration into new and existing systems, as well as featuring a mini USB port for simple device setup and commissioning through the software program & PC.

Harmonics caused by inefficient power supplies, transformers or motors can lead to an overload of the neutral wire. The PM51A is the only energy meter in its class with neutral current measurement to analyse and help save considerable amounts of energy.

Features include two digital inputs for use with time synchronisation or counters for pulsed inputs from gas or water meters and two digital outputs load control or alarms. Built in memory storage automatically preserves low and high threshold values and a real-time clock ensures accurate timestamps on all transmitted values allowing for the integration of the PM51A as the backbone of your energy management system… Let’s connect.
